1. Literacy — Our goal is to increase student achievement in reading and the writing process. Through our formative assessment monitoring system and district benchmark assessments we have been able clearly identify gaps in student learning that can be addressed through our intervention programs, such as compass learning and tier 2 and tier 3 after-school intervention blocks. We are focused on accelerating the progress of our most challenged block of students. We are seeing some initial gains but will have to continuously monitor the progress of these students.
