View/Edit Details Goal Strengths/Progress Concerns What needs to be adjusted or done differently in order to accomplish the stated goal?
1. Reading — All students, especially our Hispanic/Latino, IEP, LEP, and FRL populations, will increase their reading proficiency levels by the end of the 2007-2008 school year. Incline made our AMAO target, we have moved 23% of our population out of the bottom quartile based on DIBELS testing. With our increasing diverse population we are needing to employ more personal to work on individual basis in the RTI process
2. Math — All students, especially our Hispanic/Latino, IEP, LEP, and FRL populations, will increase their math proficiency levels by the end of the 2007-2008 school year. Accelerated math is in use for grades 3-5 Need resources and personnel for math intervention and support for our lower level learners, and malfunctioning problems with Accel;erated Math leading to inconsistent use. Process of data analysis and interpretation to support instructional planning, establish Tier I, II and III math levels based on Benchmark Assessment data, identify instructional areas needing support based on Edusoft Item Analysis of Benchmark Assessments, expand Accelerated Math to 2nd grade for higher level students, and increase school day(before and/or after school tutoring.)
3. Writing — All students, especially our Hispanic/Latino, IEP, LEP, and FRL populations, will increase their writing proficiency levels by the end of the 2007-2008 school year. Teachers collect and review writing samples three times a year, 3-5th grade teachers have received guidance and training related to Constructed Response, and staff identified the need to focus on writing for the '08-'09 school year. Decreased writing scores for 2007-08 5th graders, consistency with WCSD school writing rubrics, and creation of IES rubrics We need district-wide consistent writing rubrics in place, additional funding and support for trainings supporting the 6 writing traits throughout the year, we need additional resources to purchase successful writing programs, such as Step Up to Writing, 6 = 1 Writing traits, and/or Lucy Calkins training, and more PLC time with focus on writing.
