Evidence of Plan Review

View/Edit Details Goal Strengths/Progress Concerns What needs to be adjusted or done differently in order to accomplish the stated goal?
1. Reading — All students at Lincoln Park, especially our LEP, IEP, and FRL students will increase their skills in Reading as measured by the 2010 Nevada State CRT, Benchmark Assessments, and ongoing Classroom Assessments. All Lincoln Park's students have made progress in reading based on their 2nd quarter scores from HM assessments, SFA Roots assessments, and the 4-Sight assessment. 83% of 1st and 65% of 6th grade are proficient. Kindergarten, 5th, and 6th grade students are "on-track" based on the 2nd quarter district benchmark assessments. Less than 65% of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are achieving proficiency scores in reading based on 2nd quarter scores from HM assessments, SFA Roots assessments, and the 4-Sight assessment. 3rd and 4th grades are "off-track" on the 2nd quarter district benchmark assessments. Constructed response questions are an area of concern for all grade levels. Test taking strategies classes are offered before school and at Saturday school for targeted students not achieving proficiency. Professional development for constructed response.
2. Math — All students at Lincoln Park, especially our IEP students will increase their proficiency in Math as measured by the 2010 Nevada State CRT, Benchmark Assessments, and ongoing Classroom Assessments. More than 75% of Kindergarten,1st and 2nd grade students are "knowledgeable" on the 2nd quarter district benchmark assessments. More than 65% of 5th, and 6th grade students are "on-track" based on the 2nd quarter district benchmark assessments. More than 65% of 3rd and 4th grade students are "off-track" on the 2nd quarter district benchmark assessments. Test taking strategies classes are offered before school and at our Saturday school for targeted students not achieving proficiency. Facts practice program "Math Mastery" will be intoroduced.
3. Writing — All students at Lincoln Park will increase writing skills with special focus on the four writing traits (ideas, organization, voice, and conventions) as measured by the NV State Analytic Trait Writing Exam and school-wide writing prompts. School-wide writing prompt was given as a baseline and teachers have been working on developing writing using the 4 traits. Many students are not writing to the topic or prompt. Very few students scored in the proficient range on the baseline school-wide writing prompt. Writing class for 5th grade targeted students was offered before school for 5 weeks. 5th grade assembly to share proficient student writing.
