7 students were National Merit Finalists and one additional student was a commended student.
2 students were selected as Semi-Finalists in the 2006 Presidential Scholars competition.
Reno High School was named one of the top 1,000 high schools by Newsweek Magazine, placing the school in the top 5% in the nation.
The school received the Siemens Award for Advanced Placement testing as one of the top 50 high schools nationwide.
The Red and Blue school newspaper received the National Scholastic Press Association’s highest ranking honor rating of All-American.
The Speech and Debate program was recognized in the top 5% of National Forensic Chapters nationwide.
Four teams excelled as State athletic champions: Girls Swimming, Boys Swimming, Boys Cross Country and Boys Basketball.
