Evidence of Plan Review

View/Edit Details Goal Strengths/Progress Concerns What needs to be adjusted or done differently in order to accomplish the stated goal?
1. English Language Arts — Improve proficiency in ELA among all students with a focus on IEP, ELL, FRL, and minority students. Bi-Annual Review Students continue to make progress and we have increased the number of proficient students in ELA. The number of students scoring proficient on the writing test declined this year after a significant rise last year. We also have far too many students not proficient in ELA. More targeted interventions for non-proficient students.
2. Math — Increase mastery level of all students in Math with a focus on IEP, ELL, FRL, and minority student populations. Bi-Annual Review Students continue to make growth in math and we have increased the percent of proficient students. Not all students are scoring proficient on CRTs. IEP and LEP students score significantly lower than other students. More targeted interventions for non-proficient students.
3. Parent Involvement — Increase parent involvement and re-establish a parent group. Bi-Annual Review Our parent group has increased in number and meets regularly. This year they organized and ran the Spring Carnival raising over $1,000 for the school. We still don't have enough parents meeting on a regular basis. The parent group is not well enough organized to be self-sustaining. Continue recruiting parents to get involved.
4. PLC Meeting — To provide a place for PLCs (math, science, & language arts) to report progress and needs related to school improvement priorities. Bi-Annual Review PLCs met on a weekly basis and made significant progress toward their SMART goals. Additional time is needed for PLCs to meet. PLCs need to continue to meet and do the work they are doing.
