View/Edit Details Goal Strengths/Progress Concerns What needs to be adjusted or done differently in order to accomplish the stated goal?
1. Improve Students Writing Skills — All students will participate in weekly writing assessments 90% of the time to prepare for the Writing Traits Assessment. Bi-Annual Review Teachers are having students complete weekly writing assignments. Students' comfort with standard conventions remains weak and students' ability to self-edit are not progressing. At the SIP Team's last meeting, teachers will teach editing skills using anonymous writing separate from students' own writing.
2. Assess Tier II Students Frequently — Students, who teachers have designated as Tier II in the RTI process, shall receive frequent assessment to determine whether or not interventions are effective. Bi-Annual Review HDMS used AIMS-Web to conduct frequent assessments for Tier II students. Compass Learning was a powerful intervention that Tier II students utilized well. We are still learning how to choose effective interventions. Interventions for behavior are the most difficult. The RTI Team has discussed identifying specific behaviors and then adopting effective interventions for each. Failure to complete homework and classwork seem to be of paramount concern.
