The WCSD Middle Schools and Board of Trustees have adopted the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform “Schools To Watch” criteria. Our mission and theirs is to create middle schools that are academically excellent, socially, equitable and developmentally responsive.

School Highlights

Cold Springs Middle School is in its third year of opening. Cold Springs is a 5 – 8 school incorporating teaming and advisory. We are unique to WCSD as the first 5 – 8 school to exist. The SmartLab implemented at our school is also unique to WCSD. Full inclusion has been implemented for all special education students. The CSMS Parent Club continues to plan events and activities throughout the year to involve parents while supporting the school and students.
